English for IT and international work & life

Our Approach
At Auruby we combine insights from neuroscience with a focus on real-life situations: how memory works, why engagement and motivation matter, and how adult learning differs from learning at a younger age. We bring this to life through practical contexts such as IT meetings, everyday expat communication, and problem-solving tasks that mirror real conversations. With this approach, learning English becomes not only effective, but also a gateway to belonging anywhere — joining communities and building connections across borders.

Our Team
All teachers at Auruby are Cambridge CELTA-certified (or hold equivalent qualifications) and have academic backgrounds in teaching or IT, with at least five years of professional teaching experience.

Our Formats
Choose what works best for you: small groups that become dynamic networks, one-to-one lessons for precise focus, or asynchronous learning for more frequent practice and continuous feedback. More about asynchronous format here.

FAQ

  • Asynchronous learning means you don’t have to follow a fixed schedule. You study when it’s convenient for you — and your teacher gives you feedback on every task.

    📍 How it works:
    • You don’t have face-to-face meetings with your teacher, but Your teacher uploads tasks to an interactive board

    • Each “lesson” takes about 15 minutes

    • You send your answers (text, audio, or video) via the board or messengers

    • The teacher replies with corrections and tips within 12 hours

    • You choose how many times per week (4–6) you want to study

    • You can also ask 1–2 small questions per day via the board or messengers

💡 Why it helps you learn:
    • You study in small bite-sized pieces with lots on repetition — this helps you memorise
    • You get feedback often — this helps you improve faster
    • You learn actively, building independence instead of relying on instant teacher feedback

🧘 How it fits into your day:
    • You don’t need to change your schedule
    • You get tasks on fixed days but can do them anytime
    • Each lesson is short (15 minutes), in video, audio, or text format

    🎯 Who it is for:
    • You want to practise regularly, but need a flexible plan
    • You want clear structure and regular communication with a teacher
    • You want to learn at your own speed — but not alone

  • After you submit the sign-up form, we schedule a 20-minute call. It is free. This call is the first step for everyone — whether you want to join a course or take individual lessons.

    There:
    • We talk about your goals and check your level
    • I answer your questions and explain how the lessons work
    • You get a trial lesson, so you can see the method in action

This way, you know exactly what to expect before you start the classes.

  • No — we know you’re busy, and we believe in results here and now.

    • In individual and group lessons, all main tasks are done during the lesson.
    • In the asynchronous format, each task is the lesson: you do it and get feedback

  • Individual lessons (live)
If you cancel more than 24 hours before, we can move the lesson to another day that week (if the teacher has time).
If you cancel less than 24 hours before, the lesson is not refunded (except in emergencies - illness, accidents, or urgent family matters).

    Asynchronous lessons
You get 4–6 tasks each week and do them when you want.
If you are late with 1–2 tasks, no problem — the teacher will check them.
But if you miss 3 or more tasks, teacher will not check them all at once. It’s better to go step by step with regular feedback.

    Group courses
Group lessons are on a fixed schedule and can’t be moved.
If you miss a class, you will still get the materials and instructions from the teacher.
We do not send recordings, to protect other students’ privacy.
